Alarm panel modifications.

Was going really well until i managed to break the alarm panel. Now to order a new CD4081 for it. Can still order those form Element 14 at least.

I did have the raspberry pi controlling it and detecting the state but then while i was messing around i think i manged to short the AND gate that was in the inputs and now the chip gets really hot and the panel is not working properly.

Went to Element 14 to order about $10 worth of parts. $180 later i have many things coming.

I have managed to repair the Alarm panel now i need to get around to writing some code.

And that Panel keeps failing. But while i was at one of my clients i acquired 2 Solution 16 Panels.These are still old but a hell of alot more modern then this thing.
Already wired up the key switch interface to my access controller so i can use an RFID badge to turn it on and off. I have also setup the outputs so i can still interface this one with a raspberry PI as well.

And of course the new panels are faulty. Ordered new output relays for one of them and new terminal block for the AC in on the other.

Crazy_Muffins Well it is over 20 years old and free so can only expect so much. But better then the 35 years old of the other one.

Well the RFID Tags are working with it so i can use my implant when i get it installed. In my arm or hand not where you suggest.

I now have both panels working properly. Had to replace the transistor that is driving the Relay.
Now I just need to rig up the Raspberry Pi to it.
